Fallen Stock Collection Service
With the introduction of regulations which stopped the burial of fallen stock, the hunt decided they should assist farmers within the hunt country with the disposal of fallen stock. The five owners of the kennels (Dduallt) decided to form a small company to fund the purchase of an incinerator. The one at the kennels did not meet up to date regulations and could not be used. Additional work was required at the kennels to bring it up to the standards required by Defra.
In addition to the service offered to farmers, horse owners can also use the service at a reasonable charge. However, if a horse is put down by use of a lethal injection the charge is considerable because of the incineration costs.
The kennel/huntsman is able to use a humane killer on animals and this is a further £10 added to the normal charge.
